Ministry of Culture did not approve arrival of Ksenia Sobchak to Bishimbayev trial

Astana. April 23. KazTAG – The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan did not approve the arrival of Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak to the trial in the case of Kuandyk Bishimbayev, said Aida Balaeva , Minister of Culture.
“Of course not,” Balaeva answered when journalists asked whether Ksenia Sobchak’s visit had been agreed upon.
Journalist Ainur Koskina reported that because of Sobchak’s arrival, our journalists were prevented from moving around the court building.
“People from the Russian celebrity team simply did not allow Kazakh journalists to go to the toilet while Sobchak was there. And the Supreme Court communications staff accompanied her everywhere, distinguishing her from other journalists. By the way, Sobchak was present in the meeting room as a listener, sitting on a chair. And Kazakh journalists, as usual, were behind the fence, standing. After Judge Kulbayeva announced a break, Sobchak and her entire team left the courthouse,” writes Koskina.
