Imangali Tasmagambetov retired

Astana. December 18. KazTAG -Imangali Tasmagambetov has retired, said the press-service of the head of state.
"By the order of the head of state Imangali Tasmagambetov has been relieved of the post of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia due to reaching retirement age, ” reads the message of Akorda.
Tasmagambetov worked as an ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia from February 2017, before that from September 2016 to February 2017 he worked as a deputy prime minister, from October 2014 to September 2016 he headed the Ministry of Defense. In the period from April 2008 to October 2014, Tasmagambetov was an akim of Nur-Sultan, and before that, from December 2004 to April 2008 he headed Almaty administration. From March 2004 to December 2004 he held the post of head of the presidential administration, before that from June 2003 to March 2004 - he worked as a  secretary of state,  from January 2002 to June 2003 he was a prime minister.
