Air Astana commented on criticism of tickets fares from flood zones: There is increased demand

Astana. April 17. KazTAG - Air Astana, commenting on the criticism expressed by journalist Askhat Niyazov  concerning the tickets’ fares from flood zones, said that “there is an increased demand in this direction”.
“The airline actually introduced a special tariff of T40 thousand for compatriots flying from Atyrau. However, please note that there is increased demand in this area. Unfortunately, the number of seats on flights is limited and tickets from Atyrau in economy class were purchased for the coming dates, while business class tickets remained on sale,” the airline said.
As the air carrier stated, the screenshot shows the cost of an Atyrau-Almaty ticket in business class, “since there are no tickets left in economy class for April 23 and 24.”
“On the website you can find tickets for this route in economy class from April 25. Earlier, the Air Astana group announced the organization of 33 additional flights from Atyrau to Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Shymkent from April 9 to April 18. A total of 95 flights will be operated along with regular ones,” the airline said.
The journalist  has already commented on Air Astana’s statement.
“Guys, what is business class at this time? You are your own masters, well, remove the concept of “business class” from flooded cities at this time and provide seats for ordinary passengers there at an adequate cost,” Niyazov wrote on his Telegram channel, drawing attention to the fact the question is in the  emergency situation .
