Almost 120 Kazakhstani students returned from Hong-Kong due to protest actions

Astana. November 19. KazTAG - Almost 120 Kazakhstani students have returned from Hong-Kong due to protest actions, said Aibek Smadyarov, official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"A number of universities of Hong-Kong, where Kazakhstani students study, have decided to cancel the classes or transfer to a remote education in the second semester- until January 2020. The Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan recommends all the students studying in Hong-Kong to return to Kazakhstan. The General Consulate of Kazakhstan jointly with the association of Kazakhstani students in Hong-Kong has organized assembly and transportation of our students to the airport. Up to date 118 students have returned, in the near future about 40 students will be evacuated," he said.
The Foreign Ministry calls people of Kazakhstan to avoid visiting Hong-Kong until security stabilizes in the city.
