"The agency for corruption combat of the Almaty region is conducting pre-trial investigation in respect of deputy akim of the Yenbekshikazakh district on power and duty abuse. He is suspected of illegal approval of the construction schemes at 16 land sites in the time when was taking a post of head of the state company "Department of architecture and town planning" in the Talgar district. It was the base for illegal issuance of identification documents and registration of private property right for the land site 0.96 hectares in area located near the airport of Almaty. The suspect has been taken to the pre-trial detention facility," reads the report.
