"Bakytzhan Abdiraiym, head of the Federation of Professional Unions, resigned at the session of general council in Nur-Sultan, due to transfer to a new workplace. Two candidates have been promoted to the post of the chairman - Yeraly Tugchanov, well known political figure, and Orazgali Akhmetbekov, chairman of Kazakhstani branch professional union of workers of railway, motorway, air and water transport. In the result of voting, Yeraly Tugzhanov has been elected as a chairman of the Federation of Professional Unions of Kazakhstan
From March 2017 Yeraly Tugzhanov has been working as an akim of the Mangistau region.
