Ex-head of Almaty police and Zhetysu Serik Kudebayev will be brought to court forcibly

Taldykorgan. March 30. KazTAG - Serik Kudebayev, former head of police departments  of Almaty and Zhetysu region, will be forcibly taken to court.
“The trial of the criminal case against S. Kudebayev was postponed until April 3 at 10.00 am. Due to the fact that the defendant did not appear at the hearing, there is no information confirming the validity of the reasons for the defendant. In this regard, in accordance with Articles 157 and 335 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the court issued a decision to forcibly bring S. Kudebayev to the specified time,” said the press service of the Zhetysu region court.
Let us recall that earlier the Prosecutor General's Office reported that the security forces were demoralized during the January events due to the weakness of their leadership. As an example, the supervisory authority cited the situation when Kudebayev left the police building amid riots in Taldykorgan. The trial on Kudebayev began on January 5. The prosecution asks to sentence him to nine years in prison.
