“The Pavlodar regional court considered the criminal case on deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm, which resulted in the death of the victim under Article 106 of the Criminal Code,” said the report.
On August 8, 2021, at about 00.15 o'clock in the village of Rozovka, Pavlodar region, during a quarrel, the man poured alcohol on his wife and set her on fire. The woman's clothes and hair flashed. The victim was hospitalized. On August 17, 2021, she died of burns.
The prosecutor asked the court to find the man guilty and send him to prison for 8 years. The defendant pleaded guilty to deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in the death of the victim.
