Roadblocks to be moved away around Almaty

Almaty. May 28. KazTAG - The roadblocks will be moved away in Almaty.
"People are indignant about congestions at the roadblocks. But we have to keep them. More than one month ago we said that we needed a sanitary belt around Almaty, and that we sold control the suburbs in joint efforts. We discussed the mechanism of moving the roadblocks away," said Bakytzhan Sagintayev, akim of Almaty.
"While in the pre-quarantine period 18-20 thousand cars entered the city, now  only 10-12 thousand cars. It is almost two times less," he said.
He added that tablets were provided to the police officers to boost the speed of traffic.
"Those who have a work permit can freely cross the block posts, but we cannot allow free access through the roadblocks. We need time to regulate it," he added.
