The banner with Tokayev's portrait and inscription "dumb president" appeared on the wall of a constructed building in Samal microdistrict in Almaty on June 14.
A photo with the text was posted on the site of rukh2k19 in Instagram.
"Authoritarian regime is not used to protests and requires people to recognize the illegitimate election. But nobody elected Tokayev- it has been proved by the events of the latest days. We will not obey the fake change of regime. We do not recognize the election as legitimate. We do not recognize its result. Tokayev is not my president!" reads the post in two languages.
