Livestock production increased by more than 4% and T1 trillion in January-May in Kazakhstan

Astana. July 8. KazTAG –  Livestock production increased by 104.2% or T1.2 trillion, said Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“In the first 5 months of 2025, production in the industry increased by 104.2% or T1.2 trillion. This growth was achieved due to an increase in meat production in slaughter weight by 3%, cow's milk - by 7.5%,” said Saparov.
The number of cattle increased by 23.4% to 9.6 million heads, small cattle - by 7.8% to 26.3 million, horses - by 12.2% to 5 million heads, camels - by 8.5% to 321.3 thousand, poultry - by 2.2% to 47.7 million.
Beef exports in 2024 increased by 1.4 times and exceeded 22 thousand tons, lamb - by 2.2 times to 18 thousand tons.
The production of processed products has also increased, including sausages - by 11.3%, canned meat - by 27.5%, chilled and frozen offal - by 41.9% and 47.1%, respectively.
