"By the order of akim of Arys, people are being evacuated to the Muntaitas settlement, 50 km away from Arys by 20 buses. 36 buses left for Arys from Shymkent. 15 evacuation points have been established in Shymkent. 17 children have arrived from Arys, they have been accommodated in the school N87," said Nursultan Nurakhmetov, official representative of Emergency Situations Department.
Vladimir Bekker, chairman of emergency situations committee, has left for the scene to coordinate the arrangements.
