Bread price climbed by almost 4% within six months in Kazakhstan

Astana. August 3. KazTAG – Bread prices have increased by 3.8% since the beginning of the year in Kazakhstan, said the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition.
“Prices for bread made of first grade flour in Kazakhstan have increased by 3.8% on July 27, 2021 since the beginning of the year,” said the report.
According to the document, the price of bread went up the most in Kokshetau and Petropavlovsk - by 13.2%, prices in Aktobe, Karaganda, Uralsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk remained unchanged. In the week from July 21 to July 27, the rise in prices for wheat bread in Kazakhstan amounted to 0.1% due to an increase of 1.8% in the Turkestan region. The main increase in prices was  recorded in the period from February 2 to 9, when the price went up by 1.6% due to the rise in prices for wheat and flour. Flour has risen in price by 3.3% since the beginning of the year.
