Buses almost inaccessible for persons with disabilities in nine regions of Kazakhstan

Astana. December 2. KazTAG - Buses are almost inaccessible for persons with disabilities in nine regions of Kazakhstan, said Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development .
“The index is below 10% in terms of the availability of the bus fleet for persons with disabilities,” Atamkulov said.
The availability of buses for persons with disabilities is 0.3% in the Zhambyl region, in the East Kazakhstan region - 1.6%, in the Aktobe region - 2%, in the North Kazakhstan region - 2.2%, in the Turkestan region - 3.3%, in the Almaty region - 6.4% and in the Karaganda region - 9.3%.
