“Mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev met with the management of TAV Airports Holding. (…) During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of a master plan on the prospects for the development of Almaty International Airport and joint measures to develop the transport infrastructure of the adjacent territory. The head of the metropolis noted that this document should be synchronized with the master plan of the city, which is planned to be adopted before the end of this year,” the statement said.
The launch of the new terminal will increase the throughput from 7 million to 14 million people per year and strengthen the city's position as a transport and logistics hub throughout Central Asia.
