Electricity tariff increased by 4.6% in 2020 in Almaty

Almaty. February 7. KazTAG - Electricity tariff has been increased by 4.6% from January 1, 2020, in Almaty, said Bolat Sambetov, head of the department of the committee for regulation of natural monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan.
"Electricity tariff in Almaty has been increased by 4.6% - from 16.36 tenge to 17.12 tenge. The tariff won't be updated until the end of the year," he said.
In his words, the tariff has been increased due to the cost of services of transmitting organizations.
He added that water tariff has been decreased by 4% to 42.84 tenge per cu m for the population. The tariff for legal entities has been increased by 5.6%.
