French archeologists interested in excavations in Berel, East Kazakhstan region

Almaty. April 24. KazTAG - Daniyal Akhmetov, akim of the East Kazakhstan region met plenipotentiary and extraordinary ambassador of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Philippe Martine, reports the press-service of the akim.
"D. Akhmetov invited P.Martine to visit the sacral places in summer such as the Trars Valley in the Berel and Shilukti in Zaisan district," reads the message.
"According to the ambassador, cooperation in the field of archeology in the Tsar Valley is attractive for the French experts... P.Martine accepted the invitation and promised to come as a tourist in summer," reads the message.
According to the akim a number of artifacts were discovered by archeologists two years ago.
"We are proud of our national culture. Today we know that in the VII century BC people in Western Kazakhstan had a unique metallurgic technology. No people in the VII BC had the technology of gold smith. A number of artifacts were found two years ago. Including jewelry, fighting tools proving highest metallurgic culture of our predecessors," he said.
