Head of central synagogue of Almaty was fined 30 MCI for violation of quarantine

Almaty. August 3. KazTAG – The head of the central synagogue was fined 30 MCI for violating quarantine restrictions in Almaty, said Asel Kalykova, deputy head of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control.
"The organizer (of the mass event at the Rixos Hotel - KazTAG) is the central synagogue, which violated restrictive measures and an administrative measure of 30 MCI was imposed against the head of the institution in accordance with the Administrative Code," Kalykova said.
She noted that the synagogue had not submitted any applications for holding religious events. At the same time, Kalykova explained that the Rixos hotel will not be held liable, since the management did not know about the event and it was held not inside the hotel, but against its background.
