HIV express-tests registered in Kazakhstan

Almaty. November 6. KazTAG - HIV express-tests have been registered in Kazakhstan, said Bauyrzhan Baiserkin, director of Kazakh national center of dermatology and infection diseases.
"We started registration of the express-tests early this year, up to date they have been registered and allowed for retail sale. We have registered the test system recommended by the World Health Organization," he said at a press-conference.
In his words, it is a screening system which does not provide immediate diagnosis.
"If someone has assumptions, the test gives a signal that a person needs examinations. The tests are  available in pharmacies, there are several types of them," he added.
