Incidence of COVID-19 in Nur-Sultan increased by 43% within a week

Astana. June 23. KazTAG - The incidence of coronavirus infection (CVI) in Nur-Sultan has increased by 43% within the past week, said the commission for prevention of coronavirus spread.
"Today, the epidemiological situation in Nur-Sultan remains unfavorable: over the past week, the incidence of CVI has increased by 43%, high occupancy of beds and a tendency to an increase in hospitalized patients has been observed in the city," said Yeraly Tugzhanov,  Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
The administration of the Ministry of Health reported that the anti-epidemic regime is being violated in the city's medical organizations. There have been facts of untimely and poor-quality medical care for patients with CVI, as well as the weakening of the work of monitoring groups and insufficient active work on vaccination.
“So, in May compared to April, the coverage of the population with vaccination against CVI in the capital decreased by 50%,” said the report.
