"Alexey Vorobyev was detained on February 22 at about 14.00 on duty. Deputy chief editor of Uralsk Week tried to reach him by phone but he heard how Alexey screamed, "Give my phone back!", then the call interrupted," said the report.
According to Adil Soz fund for freedom of speech, Vorobyev was detained near City Center trade house where he came to estimate the situation.
He was taken to Abay police station.
