Kazakhstan annually spends almost T3 trillion on public debt service – Godunova

Astana. June 7. KazTAG - Kazakhstan annually spends almost T3 trillion on servicing the state debt, said Natalia Godunova, chairperson of the Supreme Audit Chamber.
“The cost of repaying the government debt and servicing takes away 25% of net budget revenues or T2.9 trillion,” Godunova said.
At the same time, it is not easy to evaluate the work of state bodies - statistical data on 37% of target indicators for 2022 have not yet been formed.
The performance indicators of state bodies are adjusted according to the fact of execution, and changes in the volume of funding usually do not affect their value. Incorrect forecasts of ministries and departments are hidden behind well-written reports and unreliable statistics, and the government makes appropriate management decisions based on them.
