Kazakhstan plans to receive $1.851 billion from annual transit of 10 million tons of Russian oil

Astana. March 28. KazTAG – Kazakhstan plans to receive $1.851 billion annually from the transit of 10 million tons of Russian oil, said Almasadam Satkaliev, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan.
“The protocol provides for the updating of transit volumes, tariffs and payments for oil transit, as well as the extension of the Agreement for a ten-year period until 2033 for the transit of Russian oil in the amount of 10 million tons annually, the tariff for pumping oil was approved at $15/t,” Satkaliev said , presenting the bill “On the ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of transportation of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the People’s Republic of China dated December 24, 2013”.
According to him, from 2024 to 2033, the expected revenue for the transit of Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan to China will be $1.851 billion, taking into account profits from replacement.
Also, the extension of the Agreement will ensure that the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant is loaded with oil supplied through the Omsk-Pavlodar oil pipeline.
