Kazakhstan sent first container train along TCITR from its terminal in Xi'an

Almaty. March 27. KazTAG - The first container train along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TCITR) was sent from the Kazakh terminal with a capacity of 66.5 thousand TEU per year in Xi'an, China, reports  the Ministry of Transport.
“On the territory of the dry port (the city of Xi’an in China - KazTAG), a Kazakh terminal with a capacity of 66.5 thousand TEUs per year has opened,” reads the message published on the committee’s official website on Wednesday.
The first prefabricated train was sent from the Kazakhstan terminal via TCITR.
Xi'an ranks first in China in terms of shipping and handling of container trains.
