Negative balance of outflow of young people to foreign states exists but it is not critical - authorized agency

Astana. April 24. KazTAG - The negative balance of outflow of young people to foreign states exists, but it is not critical, said Abzal Nukenov, vice minister on religions affairs and civil community of Kazakhstan.
"8349 people aged 14-28 emigrated from Kazakhstan in 2016. It makes 23.6% of the total number of departing people, it meets the balance of young people to the total share of population of Kazakhstan. 4971 people arrived from other states in 2016. I.e. the negative balance exists, but it is not critical. There has been growing dynamics of the number of people leaving the state, but there is nothing critical in it, it is an objective process," he said at the press-conference.
He said there is an active migration process in the world connected with global tendencies, one of which is internetization and globalization.
"There is a stereotype in the society that people leave, they do not want to live in the country. But we should remember that when a young person leaves, he goes to study and we have facts that these people come back to Kazakhstan. It does not mean there are no conditions for education in the state. We hope that 5 initiatives- 20 000 additional grants are the conditions which will be created for youth and lower this outflow," he said.
