Only half of graduates of medical universities were employed in 2020 in Kazakhstan - MP

Astana.  October 29. KazTAG - Only half of the graduates of medical universities found a job in 2020, said Aikyn Konurov, Majilis deputy.
“The share of young people who do not work or study has grown to 7.6% and will continue to grow. According to the government, among this year's university graduates, the employment rate in most regions was just over 50%. It is paradoxical that despite the declared acute shortage of personnel in health care, the lowest rates of employment are noted in the direction of “medicine” - only 48%. Among the graduates of colleges in the direction of medicine and pharmaceuticals - 51% ", - said Konurov.
He noted that over a million of students due to quarantine were left to their own devices and instead of educational activity they spend time in social networks.
