Over 20 000 citizens of Kazakhstan are followers of destructive religious ideology

Astana. November 6. KazTAG - More than 20 000 citizens of Kazakhstan are followers of destructive religious ideology, said Sergey Shveikin, deputy head of anti-terror center of NSC RK.
"Up to date,  more than 20 000 people follow destructive religious ideology in Kazakhstan," he said at the IX forum of religious scientists of Kazakhstan.
In his words, a number of them live in the Atyrau, South-Kazakhstan, Aktubinsk, Karaganda regions in Almaty and Nur-Sultan.
"Our main task is rehabilitation of the religious situation throughout the state. Our main task is promotion of the state program for combatting religious extremism and terrorism in 2018-2022," he said.
