Resident of East Kazakhstan region sentenced to restraint of freedom for killing bear

Ust-Kamenogorsk.  March 3.  KazTAG -  A resident of the East Kazakhstan region has been sentenced to the restraint of freedom for killing a bear, reports YK-news.kz.
“The man, having butchered the carcass (of the bear - KazTAG), took the meat with him, and hid the head, skin, paws of the bear under the branches of deadwood. A villager has committed a criminal offence under Part 1 of Article 337 (illegal hunting and causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ”said the territorial inspection of forestry and wildlife.
The material damage amounted to T555 600.
“The Shemonaikhinsky District Court has sentenced the man to one year and six months of restriction of freedom with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to amateur, sports, and commercial hunting for a period of three years,” reads the report.
