Symptoms similar to Kawasaki syndrome revealed in seven children in Nur-Sultan

Astana. August 14. KazTAG - The symptoms similar to Kawasaki syndrome have been revealed in seven children in Nur-Sultan, said Timur Muratov, head of public health care department in Nur-Sultan.
“Now we are not talking about Kawasaki syndrome.  We call this syndrome - Kawasaki-like. This is a multi-inflammatory syndrome that, according to a number of world studies, occurs after suffering an asymptomatic coronavirus infection in childhood. Today we have seven such children in our city hospitals," he said.
He noted that two children have a confirmed test for antibodies to coronavirus infection. The other five have not confirmed tests, but they have common symptom in the blood tests, an increased indicator, which confirms that inflammatory processes are taking place in the body.
“The state of health and condition of these children is currently satisfactory," he added.
