“The Almaty prosecutor’s office, by clarifying the legislation, voluntarily returned two citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan wanted for committing serious crimes. The fugitives hid from investigative authorities in the territory of Turkey for more than five years,” the statement said.
As the Prosecutor General's Office clarified, on March 28, procedural detention was made against the persons at Almaty airport.
“Both defendants were placed in a temporary detention center,” the statement said.
