UN Secretary General urged to protect human rights in cyberspace

Almaty. March 9. KazTAG - Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres called for the protection of human rights in cyberspace, reports the press service of the organization.
“Criminals use new technologies to carry out their illegal activities, including in the virtual space. The lack of legal regulation in cyberspace has led to an increase in the scale of criminal acts. Legislators must take into account the new realities and create mechanisms for legal protection of people on the Internet, both from fraud and embezzlement, as well as from disinformation and insults, ”Guterres said at the XIV UN Crime Congress in Kyoto.
