VEON decided to sell its stake in Beeline Kyrgyzstan

Astana. March 27. KazTAG – Telecommunications holding VEON announced the sale of its stake in Beeline Kyrgyzstan.
“VEON Ltd, a global digital operator providing converged communications and online services, announces the signing of an agreement to sell its 50.1% indirect stake in Beeline Kyrgyzstan to CG Cell Technologies, which is wholly owned by CG Corp Global,” reads the official statement.
The stake is being sold to Nepalese group CG Cell Technologies DAC. VEON decided to shift its focus to larger markets.
“We are very pleased to become a major investor in the telecommunications market of Kyrgyzstan by purchasing a controlling stake in Beeline Kyrgyzstan. We are pleased to collaborate with our partners on this joint venture as we continue to grow the business, ensuring that customers continue to receive the modern, high-quality and reliable communications and digital services they have come to expect,” CG Corp Global said.
