"Iman Valeriya Prokhorova has passed away.... She had an origin of Russian noblemen, her parents were repressed by the Stalin regime. She was born in exile. She had hard life and got devoted to Islam. She translated Koran into the Russian language, she showed the beauty of Koran, beauty of Islam, she showed the norms of kindness and humanism in the religion," wrote in the social networks Ali Vyacheslav Polosin, Russian religious and political figure.
He said the funeral will take place on Wednesday.
Valeriya Prokhorova was a Russian professional interpreter of English and Muslim public figure. She was well-known as an author of translation of Koran in the Russian language.
