“The National Bank of Kazakhstan is releasing World Painting collectible coins from the series of coins “Studying coins - discover Kazakhstan,” said a statement released on Friday.
The design of the coins is based on a fragment of the Kazakh international art project World Painting - a drawing of a dove of peace drawn by artist Karipbek Kuyukov, who suffered as a result of nuclear weapons tests at the Semipalatinsk test site, and an olive branch drawn by artist Dauren Kasteev, grandson of Abylkhan Kasteev.
