“It (Yermegiyayev’s case - KazTAG) has been requested from the court for verification,” said Alla Kotlova, lawyer.
The lawyer did not specify which body claimed the case of Yermegiyayev for verification.
The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office told KazTAG that they did not have information about which body could have claimed the case of Yermegiyayev from the court.
Yermegiyayev was sentenced to 14 years in prison in a maximum security colony in June 2016. The court found him guilty of the crimes under part 4 of Article 366 (taking a bribe), clause 2 part 4 Article 189 (embezzlement ).
Yermegiyayev was charged getting 4.2 billion tenge in the form of illegal remuneration.
